"Trump rebuke: Chief Justice John G. Roberts rebuked President Trump in a rare public statement after the president called for a judge’s impeachment on Monday. “Impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision,” Justice Roberts wrote, hours after Mr. Trump called the judge a “Radical Left Lunatic” in a social media post and said he should be removed from the bench. The judge, James E. Boasberg, had ordered the administration to provide more information by noon as he investigates whether the White House violated his order in sending more than 200 migrants to El Salvador.
Trump-Putin: Mr. Trump and Russia’s president, Vladimir V. Putin, are speaking by phone about a U.S.-backed proposal for a cease-fire in Ukraine, which has already agreed to support the monthlong pause in fighting. Mr. Trump said the topics would include power plants and “dividing up” Ukrainian assets."
