said Israeli strikes have killed at least 5,087 people in Gaza and wounded more than 15,200. In Israel, more than 1,400 people have been killed and more than 5,400 injured since Hamas’s attack on Oct. 7, according to Israeli authorities. At least

Israel continued to strike Hezbollah targets inside Lebanon, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, an IDF spokesman, said Monday. The Washington Post could not immediately verify Israel’s reports of strikes. Netanyahu has warned Hezbollah that Israel would retaliate if the militant group joined the war, and that any escalation along the shared border would be “devastating” for Lebanon.
A third batch of aid is on its way to Gaza from Egypt on Monday, said Ahmed Salem, director of the Sinai Foundation for Human Rights. It was not immediately clear what route it was taking. The second convoy of aid that entered Sunday offered only a small fraction of relief needed but also a “glimmer of hope,” United Nations aid chief Martin Griffiths
said. Fuel was again not included in that batch.
The Israel Defense Forces said one of its tanks accidentally fired at an Egyptian post near the border crossing at Kerem Shalom on Sunday. The Israeli military expressed regret for the incident, which the Egyptian military said caused minor injuries to border guards.
